Drone grounded. Belly airborne. 🌧️🥔 When the weather’s doing its best to cancel flying, we pivot to what really matters… food. This morning’s stop was Spudz at 220 Hamilton Road, Motherwell (round the side of the USAVE) and honestly… still undefeated. We went for a baked potato loaded with homemade mac & cheese, finished with spring onion and garlic butter. The tub weight is borderline structural engineering. Last time we tried one each and failed miserably, so this time we split one between two… and we’re still absolutely stuffed. The mac & cheese is exactly how it should be: proper homestyle, café-style comfort food that hugs the spud like it was made for it. No nonsense, just done right. And shoutout to the girls working there too – always spot on. This visit was unannounced and paid for by myself. No freebies, no bias. If it was shite, I’d say it was shite. Thankfully… it wasn’t. I don’t really get the whole spud craze that’s kicking about, but these ones? Different league. 10/10.
