5 tips for reinstalling wigs ⬇️ ~ ~ ~ 🔑Making sure all the glue residue is off the lace is a simple and easy tip but it’s one of the most important. Old glue will just make the lace more visible since it’ll still be a visible spot on the lace before you even start installing. You can use a mirror, alcohol, or hot water + dish soap to make sure all the glue is gone. 🔑Working in sections is something I do when applying a new wig or reinstalling an old one because it allows me to have more control and minimizes room for error. 🔑Cutting off extra, unneeded lace is super important to making your lace less visible. Just think about it like the more that’s there, the more likely someone else is able to see it. 🔑Adding glue to missed pieces of lace is incredibly vital in achieving that seamless look. If the lace is already lifting because it wasn’t fully glued down, it’s more apparent where the lace is/starts. 🔑Usually when you reinstall a wig, you’ve experienced a bit of shedding and you’ll need to section off and cut new baby hairs because the old ones have been loss.
