You cannot spell community without ‘unity.’ Unity begins with the exact same letter that starts ‘us.’ That letter is pronounced the exact same as ‘you.’ However, without just that seemingly small component we cannot have a community. One cannot exist without each of the others. You are first. We share similar stories of how this community has impacted and changed us. From supporter to creator, editor to artist, and everywhere in between. How it has aligned you with friends or perhaps in some cases, a partner, that you cannot imagine life without. How it has saved you from times of hardship, and brought out the best possible version of yourself. Perhaps a confident side that you had once thought of as impossible. You found others with similar interests, who enjoyed your quirks and your differences. Others who shared your humor, spread your kindness, and enjoyed your presence. You had people to lean on, who genuinely cared, and would raise an army to support you. For the first time, you could be unapologetically yourself. And that’s what this is about. You. Who you choose to be. At the end of the day, it isn’t about how many followers each of us have or the likes that we receive from them. This is not a competition to be better than one another. We all started out from the exact same place, likely with what was most affordable for gear no matter how cheap the quality was, the uncertainty of how things would work out looming over our heads. Many of you may still be feeling this way, but you are not alone. Nor will you ever be. The true beauty of this community presents itself when we unite together. We are all human, collectively sharing a hobby that we enjoy. The uniqueness and diversity of this community is what makes us who we are. Follow just a handful of us, and you’ll find yourself uncontrollably laughing and vibing along with a group of creators having a dance party on a livestream. You’ll find your heartstrings pulled as you get a window into stories of love and even have the ability to watch those connections develop and grow for all of those beautiful souls. Perhaps in another moment, you’ll be in shock from the insane detail of a creator’s artwork or an original character design is. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even find yourself like me, copying hand signs to the best of your ability as you try and learn ASL from @𝑵𝒊𝑲. More importantly, it’s also the small things - that some might consider insignificant - that move us to a whole different level than other communities. Whether that entails giving new creators helpful feedback, or attending one’s first livestream and helping boost their confidence. Encouraging one another to hydrate and take care of ourselves, or simply just checking in to ensure that everything is okay. Within this community, you can find anything and everything you’ll ever need. Loyal supporters who will never fail to back you and the variety of content you choose to create. And loving friends who will take the time to get to know you, and will stand by your side no matter what. A family amongst all. A home. I could not be more fortunate that I get to join this amazing community of some of the sweetest and kindest individuals I have ever met. I have only met a handful of you, and for those of you who I have already met, you mean the absolute world to me. I could not imagine my life without you, so it goes without saying, that I am unbelievably excited with this opportunity to connect with, get to know, and befriend so many more. If I could have extended this video to include as many 18+ creators as there are out there in our community, I would have done so without hesitation, regardless of how much time it would have taken to render.
