Why does light bend when it passes from one medium into another? 🌊✨ According to Huygens’ principle, every point on a wavefront acts as a source of secondary wavelets. When an incident wavefront reaches the boundary obliquely, one end enters the second medium before the other. If light travels more slowly in the second medium, the part that enters first covers a shorter distance during the same time interval. Meanwhile, the remaining part continues travelling faster in the first medium.
