𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘃𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 When I started posting publicly I didn't know what to expect, but somewhere in the back of my mind I assumed the people who had known me the longest would be the first ones to show up. That's not what happened, and every creator I've talked to has said the same thing. The people who've known you tend to scroll past while the strangers on the internet are the ones who actually stop, watch, comment, and come back. I still find that surprising and I think that says something about how differently the people closest to us see us versus how strangers do. But it's changed how I think about encouragement and where it actually comes from, and it's made me grateful for every person in this community who chose to invest in someone they've never met. If you're just starting to post and you're noticing the silence from the people closest to you, I want you to know that's normal.
