Bongani found himself trapped in a justice system he did not understand. He was convicted of attempted rape and sentenced to five years in prison. With no idea how courts work and suddenly in conflict with the law for the first time, he had to learn to survive behind bars. After serving 1 year and 1 month, Bongani was released following a successful appeal.
