Today we turned into evolutionary scientists. Using frogs. Students simulated by tracking how a single population can split and change over time. Rolling dice students create random mutations, add traits, and watch how their frogs slowly become more and more different. What starts out as one species quickly turns into a very different frog all because gene flow stopped and mutations + natural selection takes over.
