𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑳𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒂. This day marks the first of 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Between May & October of that year, Our Lady appeared to Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, calling the world to prayer, repentance, and devotion to the Most Holy Trinity. She urged them to “𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒓.” While she foretold that Francisco and Jacinta would soon be taken to Heaven, she entrusted Lucia with spreading devotion to her Immaculate Heart. In her final apparition, Our Lady revealed her name: “I am the Lady of the Rosary.” Her message remains as urgent and consoling today as it was over a century ago.
