The 19.7-meter Unicorn Gundam, a fixture of Tokyo's Odaiba waterfront since September 2017, will conclude its nearly nine-year run at the end of August 2026. With its removal, Tokyo will be without a life-sized Gundam for the first time since 2009, except for the transition when this Unicorn Gundam was built. Before its farewell, visitors can enjoy newly added decal decorations, along with a lineup of special events and programs celebrating its final appearance. In 2024, the Yokohama Moving Gundam permanently closed to the public. Parts of the Gundam was later displayed as part of the Gundam Exhibition at the Osaka Expo 2025. After August 2026, only the RX-93ff Nu Gundam in Fukuoka will be the remaining permanent life-sized Gundam Statue in Japan.
