Safety on the road isn’t optional — especially when you’re towing a fifth wheel. 🚨 Before every trip, I check three things without exception: 1️⃣ Fifth wheel hitch Base locked, head secure, jaws clean, and grease where it should be. A bad hitch setup can ruin your day fast. 2️⃣ Tires Improper tire pressure is the #1 cause of blowouts. I always check cold tire pressure before rolling. 3️⃣ Suspension & running gear Leaf springs, U-bolts, shackles, equalizer — quick visual check for cracks, looseness, or anything that doesn’t look right.
