Overhead pressing feel shaky?🏋️‍♂️ Overhead stability involves a combination of mobility and strength through your full range 🙆‍♂️💪 1️⃣ Serratus Anterior: The “boxer’s muscle” upwardly rotates and protracts your scapula, helping with shoulder and ribcage control as you reach overhead. 2️⃣ Lower Trapezius: Crucial for depressing and upwardly rotating the shoulder blade, providing that solid base of support when overhead. 3️⃣ Latissimus Dorsi: While they are internal rotators, the lats act as massive dynamic stabilizers for the spine and shoulder complex when moving through full ranges of motion. Limitations in lat mobility/length can limit overhead reach. 4️⃣ External Rotators (Infraspinatus & Teres Minor): These keep the humeral head centered in the socket throughout the range.
