🌊 𝐓𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏 ✨ 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐬 & 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Our journey started early as we drove from Kluang to Mersing around 6am, stopping by 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠 for a simple breakfast before continuing. At Mersing, we parked at “𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐤𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧” (searchable on Google Maps); RM15 per day, just a short walk to the jetty. 💡 𝙏𝙞𝙥: Get your 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 at 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 before heading in. All visitors are required to pay a 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐞; RM5 for Malaysians and RM30 for foreigners (cash only). We booked our ferry with 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 via Cataferry.com; RM300 total for 2 adults (return). Slightly pricier, but cleaner, more comfortable and a smoother ride overall. The ferry ride itself was already part of the experience; beautiful sea views, waves, and fresh ocean breeze from the outdoor deck 🌊 We got off at the first stop, 𝐊𝐠. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐫, where we were warmly welcomed by 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 team. From there, we were transferred via their private boat with a short ride of less than 10 minutes. Along the way, we cruised past stunning coastal views and luxury retreats like 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭, making the arrival even more special. Finally, we reached The Boathouse jetty, welcomed again by the team in their Raya attire; a really warm and memorable first impression 🌴✨ ⸻⸻⸻ 💡 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 • Best time to visit is 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 for sunny weather and calm seas • Peak season (𝐌𝐚𝐲–𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫) has the best weather but bigger crowds • 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐨𝐯–𝐅𝐞𝐛) rough seas, limited ferries, many resorts closed • Ferries depart from 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐤 • Always 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲, especially during school & public holidays ⸻⸻⸻ A perfect start to our island getaway.
