I've started exploring alternatives to my python scripts to progress my artwork forward (cpu rendering is rather tedious and slow), and I was pleased to discover a utility that incorporates a lot of the things I like to play with in my artwork. So my initial renders were generated using Jwildfire (the free Java version), and then post-processed using Gimp and lots of editing abuse. 😅 I still have a few other tools / utilities to explore (Apophysis, Fragmentarium, and MandelBulb3D). “The beauty of open source is that derivative work from the software… is now ubiquitous and global.” - Scott Draves #flame #visionary #math #digitalart #love Topics for the curious: - flam3 - fractal flame - iterated function system
