It's been a while since I've done a progress comparison picture. I was hit by a driver while walking in 2012. It did a ton of damage, I had over a dozen surgeries and had to learn how to walk again. I gained a lot of weight after that accident, being sedentary will do that to you. But I worked hard to come back from that and regain my fitness. Then, in 2019, I dropped a 45 pound plate at the gym and crushed my foot. I was in a boot with crutches for eight months, and the week I returned to the gym, it was closed by the Covid lockdown. And then I had an emergency appendectomy. Again, all that sedentary time and comfort food did what they do. So I had to start all over again on a comeback. People always express sorrow when I tell them about my accidents, but to be honest, I'm grateful. They've shown me just how resilient I am, and made me stronger than ever. It’s because I've been at such deep lows that I celebrate the highs so intensely. I've learned that life WILL knock you off your game. It happens to all of us. The important thing isn't avoiding challenges, but how you handle them and recover after they hit. #Resilience #thickfit #womenwholift
