Inside the Hounslow Mosque Controversy/Election Fallout/Arson Attack and Growing Allegations Hounslow Central Mosque has become the centre of a growing community row after two local Pakistani businessmen and community figures in West London, Tariq Aziz and Omar Farooq, were targeted in separate attacks. Tariq Aziz’s car was destroyed and his house was damaged in a brick attack on 28 May and Omar Farooq’s Sasti Flight office in Hounslow was set on fire in an attack involving a stolen car, which he described as an attempt on his life. The incidents are alleged to be linked to tensions following the local elections held on 6 May. The dispute emerged after most of the Hounslow Central Mosque supported Labour candidates, while Omar Farooq and Tariq Aziz campaigned for the Conservative Party. At a press conference, representatives of Hounslow Central Mosque strongly rejected the allegations and completely distanced the trustees from the attacks. Mosque trustees denied any involvement and said they want those responsible to be identified and brought to justice. However, Farooq and Aziz have maintained that some mosque trustees were involved in orchestrating the violent attacks ##omarfarooq #sastiflight #safinakhan #london #trending
