I was pretty over it... The same basic stuff on repeat, said by a different person in a different way. I wasn't frustrated because the basics weren’t important to me, of course they were. But I knew I was doing a job that was asking way more of me than what those basics were giving me. At some point, simplified education only took me so far... And if simplified is where education stops for you, you'll start to wonder...why you can't get the results you're visualizing in your head and you'll start feeling like you’re still missing something. For me, I wasn’t looking for hair color to be made simpler... I wanted education that matched the job I was actually doing every day. I NEEDED it to go deeper and actually help me understand the results I was actually seeing in the hair I worked on. I know I’m not the only hairdresser who's gotten to that point...there's a lot of stylists who don’t need another basic explanation said in a different way. They need the deeper stuff too. So call us crazy if we don't want to do it like it's always been done because at some point it stopped helping me. And so we carry on...with deeper education. And yup, complex stuff can be taught in simplified ways. OVERsimplified and simplifying complex stuff are two very different things. One takes stuff OUT to make the complex stuff seem less complex. The other keeps the complex IN, just teaches it in a way that helps stylists understand it. We're going with door #2 #themoreyouknow🌈 #CWCeducation
