Carter was the victim of a violent attack that left him with a fractured fibula and torn ligaments. Since the incident, he has undergone emergency medical evaluation and has been referred for orthopedic treatment. He now requires surgery, followed by rehabilitation and physical therapy to regain strength and mobility. Unfortunately, Carter does not have health insurance, and all of his medical expenses must be paid out of pocket before surgery can be performed. We have already incurred emergency room costs, and the estimated cost of surgery alone is approximately $8,500 +. Additional expenses for follow-up appointments, imaging, medications, physical therapy, and recovery are expected to push the total cost well beyond $10,000. Because payment is required before surgery can proceed, we are trying to raise these funds as quickly as possible so that Carter can receive the care he needs without delay, and this is just the beginning of what we know this process is going to cost. We are doing everything we can to support Carter through this difficult time. In addition to his physical injuries, he is coping with the emotional impact of what happened.
