HOW TO: Get your first pull up! 💪🥰 - Practice makes progress SOO since all these movements (EXCEPT push ups) are the same muscle movement, just differently incorporated, repeating these exercises will build endurance and strength for your lats, biceps, and shoulders. - JUST HANG! If you can’t do any at all, no matter how much the help, get used to hanging and being able to just hold yourself up. - TIME UNDER TENSION: Keep CORE TIGHT, focus on slow, tensioned movements. Think about feeling your lats and you pull yourself up. DO THEM SLOW! If your band is helping out a lot & it feels easy or you’re bouncing up and down, you need to INTENTIONALLY SLOW IT DOWN. Engage your muscle in a way where your mind is connected to them. - LAT PULL DOWNS: only pull down the machine until the ball is eye level and then extend completely back up. - Once it is easy to do 7-10 pull ups with the band, you are ready to do 1 pull up without assistance. - WHY PUSH-UPS ? It practices body weight movement on your inner body muscles & core. Even tho it is pushing, and not pulling, it still practices handling your weight.
