All summer long — tourists who do not know how to drive on the Cape. Roadwork that appears out of nowhere. Mowing crews taking up an entire lane. Accidents every other exit. Three hour back ups. Moving at a snails pace. I have survived all of it. I have made it through the bridge. I have done Club Hyundai Vols. 1 through 4. I have been unbothered. Until……a LOGGING TRUCK pulled in front of me on Route 6. A logging truck. On Cape Cod. In August. With actual logs. My millennial heart immediately went to exactly one place — Final Destination. 2000. Devon Sawa. The highway scene. Every single one of us who grew up in the early 2000s knows EXACTLY why you do not drive behind a logging truck. I was not about to find out if the universe was testing me today. I was hoping that it was just a really bad joke the universe was playing with me as a millennial. I was NOT the ONE and today WASNOT the day! I changed lanes immediately. I am alive. You are welcome. Cape Cod summer traffic is not for the weak of heart and it is certainly not for millennials with unresolved early 2000s horror movie trauma. 😂 Drop a 💀 if you immediately thought of Final Destination the second you saw that truck.
