Facing away from the cable stack is intentional.👇 Train these 3 main rotation centers of the golf swing: 1️⃣ THORACIC ROTATION Facing away from the cable stack puts the obliques under greater stretch at the start of the movement, creating high tension in a lengthened position. Training muscles under load at longer muscle lengths is perhaps the most powerful stimulus for strength and muscular adaptation. 🔄 The cable also gives you something passive mobility can’t: thoracic rotation under load and the cable pulls you deeper into a stretch than you could passively. Your obliques are major drivers of trunk rotation—and therefore a HUGE piece of your shoulder turn and your ability to create X-Factor Stretch. 2️⃣ HIP INTERNAL ROTATION 🔒 CLOSED CHAIN — Your foot stays planted while your pelvis rotates over your femur, just like it does in the golf swing. 🔄 LOADED HIP IR — You’re not just accessing internal rotation. You’re loading and controlling it. 🔥 ADDUCTOR RECRUITMENT — Pressing into the foam roller increases adductor demand, contributing to hip rotation and pelvic control. 🍑 HINGE + ROTATION — Combines hip IR with a loaded hinge instead of training rotation in isolation. 3️⃣ SHOULDER EXTERNAL ROTATION The 2-rope cable face pull lets you actually finish the movement in full shoulder external rotation. 🚫 Don’t finish in the typical “muscle pose” position. 🥅 Think GOAL POST: upper arms out, forearms VERTICAL, and rotate the shoulders all the way back. The golf swing has these 3 Main Rotation Centers: Train Rotation in your T-Spine, Hips and Shoulders with these Best In Class Exercises for each Center. SAVE for Later.
