C418 - Minecraft Volume Beta ||| Extremely solid album, extremely influential to indie game music in general. C418 started the wave of great indie game soundtracks. This is easily one of the best albums I have ever heard. His influences REALLY shine on almost every single track to be heard here. Even if you put nostalgia aside this is still a 10/10 album. The only track I don't really find myself coming back to is Ballad of The Cats. Intro is a great improv piece to end the album. This is worth spending 2 hours and 30 minutes of your time to listen to, it's absolutely gorgeous. Alpha is one of the best credits songs in the history of media in my opinion. Aria Math and Biome Fest work perfectly with Creative mode, and both tracks have a "techy” feel to them. Far is easily the best music disc in the game to date. I really hope Aaron Cherof keeps following in C418's footsteps, because there's a chance another amazing album like this could release. While I do think Volume Beta is C418's magnum opus, his newer albums also have extremely unique vibes to them while carrying his DNA. #c418 #minecraft #music #review #ambient
