Architects often develop multiple schemes for a project during a feasibility study to help developers decide which direction to pursue. Will this be the final design? Probably not. The one story option looses too much buildable area to parking, and we’re forced to have tandem spaces, which probably isn’t ideal. Underground parking with three floors above it would max out the allowable dwelling units, but the construction cost would be quite high. #architecture #siteplanning
