A vessel NUC displays two all-round red lights vertically and, when making way through the water, sidelights and a sternlight. A RAM vessel displays three all-round lights vertically: red, white, red, and when making way, also displays masthead light(s), sidelights, and a sternlight. Knowing these lights is essential for identifying a vesselโ€™s condition and understanding that it may have limited ability to manoeuvre. Remember: NUC = Red over Red, RAM = Redโ€“Whiteโ€“Red. Always maintain a proper lookout and take appropriate action in accordance with the COLREGS. #Marinoph #fyp #viral #seaman #lifeatsea
