𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞. 𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦. 💚 The world can be loud. And with everything going on in the world, it sometimes feels like it’s only getting louder. It’s full of opinions, people on social media judging each other from behind the safety of a screen, expectations you set for yourself based on someone else’s standards, endings that hurt, and delays that make you question yourself. This song has always hit me so deeply: “I wanna be somebody to someone.” For me personally, I have always tried my best to give 100% to everyone. Even when they didn’t deserve it, I still did it anyway. Because I wanted to see the good in people. But somewhere along the way, I learned that not everything, nor everyone, deserves my energy. And believe me when I say that I’m definitely not an expert at this. I am way too often hurt by words or actions that hit harder than they should. And far too often, I am too trusting of people who take advantage of that. But sometimes, you just need to look at the one beside you and remember what actually matters. For me, those are my boys, or in this video especially, Novi. 💚 He doesn’t care what people think. He doesn’t care about the things I haven’t achieved, the things I can’t do, or the things that take me longer than they do for others. He just knows me. He loves me for who I am. He knows my good days and my bad ones. He has seen me at my strongest and at my most vulnerable. And through all of it, he has simply been there. As my little stalker, as I like to call him. A real mommy’s boy. I don’t need to be somebody to everyone. I don’t always have to know the right path, the right answer, or the best thing to do. I just have to be me. I just want to be somebody to him. And he will always be everything to me. So if you ever wonder, “Is this person worth it?” The fact that you have to think about it is often the answer to that question. The only one you have to be somebody to, the only one you have to be everything to, is your dog.
