You’re being taught to see a diaspora “war” where history shows a system. 👀 Black people across the diaspora can have real disagreements about ancestry, nationality, culture, and identity. But many of the boundaries we argue over were shaped by European colonialism, the transatlantic slave trade, racial classification, and imperial rule. These systems displaced Africans, separated populations, imposed racial categories, and attached different social and political meanings to those categories across Africa and the Americas. So yes, our differences are real. But they did not emerge in a historical vacuum. Before we call this a “diaspora war,” shouldn’t we ask: who created the conditions for these divisions—and who benefits when we treat them as natural? #GlobalBlackUnity #AfricanDiaspora #BlackHistory #AuthenticBlackAmerican #WhiteSupremacy
