If you run coding agents on a MacBook you've probably used one of these keep awake apps so the thing doesn't sleep when you close the lid. What nobody mentions is that most of them keep the display rendering too, so your Mac is lighting up a screen inside a closed laptop for hours. I benchmarked Amphetamine, Vorssaint, Clamshell, the sudo pmset terminal command and StillOn on the same Mac with the same task, and only one of them actually let the screen sleep.
