The Board explained that every profile is auto-populated using data pulled straight from NIMC's database — JAMB itself has no hand in generating or altering this information. Birth Date – Verify it's correct so it doesn't cause admission problems down the line. 3. General Bio-Data – Go through every other detail tied to your NIN for possible mistakes. 4. NIMC Match – Confirm your JAMB details line up with what's officially on file with NIMC. 5. Proper Correction Route – Any errors should go through NIMC's formal correction channel, not just an affidavit. 6. Full Verification First – Don't create your JAMB profile until every check is complete. The Board added that its portal has a built-in "Correction of Data" feature covering names, birth dates, state/LGA, and gender — though this comes with standard fees and procedures.
