THANKFUL THURSDAY 🌞 Good morning everyone it is our Thankful Thursday!! ❤️ We have a new episode dropping on the podcast today!! We are going to talk about the concept of Identity Death. When Who You Were Can’t Come With You. This episode walks you through the emotional, psychological, and spiritual process of shedding the false self you built for survival and stepping into the authentic self that can finally hold freedom. 👩🏼‍⚕️Now it’s time for your Sherapy ❌ When Parents Use Their Own Trauma to Justify Mistreating Their Own Children Having an abusive childhood can explain why a parent struggles, but it does not excuse traumatizing their own children. In fact, living through abuse gave them firsthand knowledge of what fear, rejection, humiliation, and emotional neglect feel like. Their trauma should have been a warning, not a permission slip. When parents repeatedly use their childhood to justify how they treated you, explanation becomes avoidance of accountability. 🪞⚖️ What to Do About It: You can have compassion for what happened to your parent without using their trauma to minimize what happened to you. Understanding why someone hurt you does not require you to excuse the harm they caused. 🌿✨ #ChildhoodTrauma #noexcuses #ToxicParents #CycleBreaker #healingjourney
