Here’s the best pics from my time in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. It’s a bustling riverside city blending French colonial architecture, golden temples, and chaotic markets. Details on each of the pics are as follows ⬇️ 📸1️⃣ The Royal Palace of Phnom Penh, featuring its iconic golden-roofed Throne Hall and beautiful gardens. 📸2️⃣ City skyline view from the top of my hotel, the Phnom Penh 51 Hotel & Residences 📸3️⃣ The rooftop pool at the top of my hotel 📸4️⃣ Street photo I captured while exploring the city 📸5️⃣ & 6️⃣ Wat Phnom - a historic Buddhist temple sitting on the only natural hill in the flat city - and it literally gave the capital its name ("Phnom Penh" = "Penh's Hill") 📸7️⃣ The Giant Clock at the base of Wat Phnom. 📸8️⃣ City shot with the shrine and statue of Madam Penh to the left. She is the legendary 14th-century woman who founded Wat Phnom after discovering sacred Buddha statues in the river. 📸9️⃣ Driving down Preah Sisowath Quay - Phnom Penh’s lively riverside promenade along the Tonle Sap River, lined with cafes, bars, and bustling night markets. 📸🔟 Another shot of the Royal Palace 📸1️⃣1️⃣ From the Royal Palace grounds - in the middle you’ll see the equestrian statue of King Norodom I. 📸1️⃣2️⃣ The Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument. 📸1️⃣3️⃣ In the center of the city from right to far distant left - the Norodom Sihanouk Memorial on the right, the Independence Monument in the middle, and the Cambodian Constitution Monument in the far distant left. 📸1️⃣4️⃣ The iconic Techo Sen Radar Station 📸1️⃣5️⃣ This is from the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center aka The Killing Fields, former Khmer Rouge execution site and mass grave just outside Phnom Penh. This 17-meter Memorial Stupa holds nearly 9,000 victims' skulls. 📸1️⃣6️⃣ The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21 Prison) in Phnom Penh — the former Khmer Rouge security prison where thousands were detained, tortured, and sent to the Killing Fields. 📸1️⃣7️⃣ The Central Market (Psar Thmei) in Phnom Penh 📸1️⃣8️⃣ & 1️⃣9️⃣ City skyline views from my hotel at night 📸2️⃣0️⃣ Preah Sisowath Quay riverside promenade views at night #phnompenh #phnompenhcity #cambodia #cambodiatiktok #cambodiatravel
