Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the overhaul and installation of modern tools and equipment in drainage systems such as heavy-duty High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes along Metro Manilaโs critical flood zones: Bonifacio Drive, G. Araneta Ave., and Taft Ave. These high-standard, durable pipes are engineered to withstand immense pressure and rapidly route massive volumes of stormwater away from our corridors. Today, residents, motorists and commuters are beginning to feel the benefits. Areas that once suffered from prolonged flooding are now experiencing rapid water recession, continuous flow of traffic, and communities returning to their daily routine after a heavy downpour.
