He was nervous around the other dogs, and that was enough for the shelter to label him "No Dogs Required." Play Group is overwhelming for many dogs. The shelter environment is loud, stressful, and unfamiliar, and some dogs simply don't show their true personalities there. I've seen many dogs with similar Play Group results go on to live successfully with other dogs once they were out of the shelter and given time to decompress. Unfortunately, because of this label, only adopters without another dog are currently being considered. One stressful evaluation should not define a dog's entire future. He was returned to his kennel without issue.
