According to the account shared, the student was hit with a tumbler, punched, and kicked inside the classroom. To John Reyes, you should be held accountable for your actions. No matter how angry, frustrated, or provoked you may have been, you have no right to respond with physical violence. Violence is never the solution to any misunderstanding. If these allegations are accurate, this incident deserves a fair and thorough investigation. Every student has the right to feel safe inside the classroom, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Schools also have the responsibility to ensure that bullying and violence are addressed appropriately. We hope the school administration will take the necessary steps to establish the facts, ensure accountability where appropriate, and prevent similar incidents from happening again.
