After construction, the new West End Regional Navigation Center, to be located at 11109 Jasmine Street, is expected to be up and running in early 2027 and will provide 100 shelter beds and 100 recuperative care beds, along with supportive services designed to help individuals experiencing homelessness stabilize and transition into permanent housing. Back in 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of the $11.6 million property and a partnership agreement with participating cities, establishing a framework for the centerโs operation, including shared funding contributions toward startup and ongoing operational costs. The cities of #Chino, Fontana, #Montclair, #Ontario, #RanchoCucamonga, , and are anticipated to assist with startup expenses and ongoing operational costs, while San Bernardino County will utilize federal and state funding to offset service costs. The facility will function as a low-barrier shelter, catering to individuals exclusively through referrals from the countyโs coordinated entry system. Beyond offering temporary shelter, the navigation center will also deliver behavioral health services, medical care, case management, transportation aid, and housing placement assistance to support individuals in obtaining long-term housing solutions.
