In line with the directive of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen flood mitigation efforts in response to persistent flooding in many parts of the country, the DPWH is undertaking proactive interventions to reduce flood risks in vulnerable communities. Through Oplan Kontra Baha, the agency remains committed to protecting lives, properties, and livelihoods by keeping waterways clear, improving drainage efficiency, and building safer and more flood-resilient communities across the country.
