The 24-year-old student, a citizen of the People's Republic of Bangladesh residing in Dainohara 2-chome, Aoba Ward, Sendai City, was arrested on suspicion of violating the Act on Punishment of Physical Violence and Other Acts. According to police, the man is suspected of threatening a Bangladeshi student in his 20s inside a building in Aoba Ward, Sendai City, at around 6:00 a.m. on May 30th by brandishing a kitchen knife and shouting at him. During questioning, the man partially denied the allegations, stating, "I was holding a knife, but I did not point it at him."
