M&S “Brain food”… but what’s actually in it, and does it really support your brain? 🤔👇🏼 I took inspiration from the M&S nut butter and made my own version at home It’s not a magic brain-health hack, but it does provide healthy fats, fibre, minerals and antioxidants into something easy to add to breakfast, snacks or toast. Ingredients 110g almonds 40g cashews 40g pumpkin seeds 25g sunflower seeds 25g walnuts 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 tbsp ground flaxseed ½ tsp cinnamon ¼ tsp sea salt Method Soak the almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and walnuts overnight with a pinch of salt. Drain, rinse and pat dry well. Dry them in the oven at 120-140°C until fully dry and lightly roasted. This can take around 45-75 minutes depending on your oven. Leave to cool slightly, then blend until smooth. Add the chia, ground flax, cinnamon and salt, then blend again. Add a little olive oil or neutral oil only if needed to help it loosen. Store in a clean jar in the fridge. #supportiveeating #nutbutter #brainfood #healthysnacks #m&s
