𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐋, 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐆𝐁𝐔 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚,𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝐂𝐄𝐒-𝐆𝐏𝐔 Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony of Central Equatoria State held a meeting with Western Equatoria State Governor Daniel Badagbu to discuss joint efforts in expediting the implemention the Rokon Peace Consensus to strengthen peace and security along the common border. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to executing the resolutions, which include a crackdown on criminal activities, the return of cattle to their rightful owners, and joint border patrols to secure the road connecting the two sisterly states and restore lasting peace. The Rokon Peace Consensus, reached last month in Rokon, is an agreement that brought together communities from Terekeka County in Central Equatoria State and Greater Mundri Counties in Western Equatoria State to end cattle-related conflict and promote peaceful cohesion. Both Governors urged communities along the common border to remain calm as the governments of the two states expedite the implementation of the resolutions.
