These are the books I learned with and/or return to again and again. "Tarot for Your Self" is by far my favourite. Mary K. Greer is the GOAT of tarot teachers and this experiential workbook will show you how rich and helpful tarot can be "21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card" will take you deep! Choose one card and follow the lessons in this book to go on an amazing journey. So great for book clubs or self study. "Tarot for Life" suits the way I like to read. The card meanings are psychological and emotional, focused on self-development and well-being. "Learning the Tarot" is a classic and if you only get one book this is the one that'll really get you started with a strong foundation. "Tarot Plain and Simple" is just that, but also, it's deep and wise. "Your Tarot Toolkit" is a workbook that will really get you thinking about and engaging with the cards in a helpful, practical way. It's not the first book you should get but if you're ready to really commit to tarot it's incomparable. "The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot, Ever!" is super fun. The author teaches through exercises you can do on your own or with a friend or group. If you like learning by doing, this one's great! I learned a lot from Dusty White's way of seeing tarot practice. "Beyond the Little White Book" is by one of my favourite tarot teachers, Liz Worth. She writes from her abundant experience reading tarot for real people. Her meanings of the cards are modern, practical, and relevant to real life. Do you have any you'd add? Is there one here you feel called to? Let me know if you have any questions or if you ordered one! Also, don't forget your local library which was my main resource when I first began!
