The club scene in Britain pre 1988 was a pretty grim place by all means. The music was shite and you were always 3 steps away either a fight or blatant sexual harassment. Over a year or so this all changed, you had people of all races, sexes and sexualities mixing, you had football hooligans from different teams hugging one another, dancing to house music in fields, quarries, warehouses, nightclubs and basements.
