Meet Lysurus stink horn. Typically found in tropical areas and apparently also in broken arrow Oklahoma?? we found probably 15 of them in an open field. They feel kind of like veggie straws. I honestly couldn’t smell them, but they are known for being pungent. For the purpose of attracting flies. The flies are their sport dispersal vehicle. Least favorite thing I’ve read about these today? Technically, They are edible??? #foraging #stinkhorn #mushrooms #wildmushrooms #mushroomhunting #mushroomforaging
