Breeding betta splendens This is a newer one for me, and I don't think it'll be something I repeat many times. Once betta babies mature, it'll require a lot of space to give them proper care and a large enough water volume. For this reason, I think it'll be less consistent compared to some of my other projects. That being said, I still really wanted to give it a try! I'm trying to constantly expand my knowledge and experience with fish breeding, and this seemed like an interesting next one. I'd love to be able to get some healthy bettas out to my community. Both of these bettas have their own 10 gallon tank they normally are kept in and are only put together for about 48 hours. A day to look at each other and a day for their deed. I have this tank bumped to 82F during their breeding process, though otherwise they are kept cooler. This encourages them to get into a spawning mood, and a piece of bubble wrap is used to encourage the male to create a nest.
