𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 🥹🎤…⁣ ⁣ 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 Lead Derm‼️⁣ ⁣ I was beyond thrilled to give my take on barriers facing the trainers and trainees in dermatology as the U.S. grows in diversity (which I was sure to emphasize is 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 race, but also inclusive of sex, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, disability, and the myriad of ways we self-identify and are distinguished from others). ⁣ ⁣ Not only did this conference have established and emerging leaders in dermatology, but there were leaders from the pharmaceutical industry, other medical specialties, and the beauty industry who all gave inspirational talks on leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship (this last one is my new fave 😉). ⁣ ⁣ And yes that’s me above moderating an expert panel on Fostering Health Equity in Medicine!
