#onthisday 2 years later… Same building, same view, just 2 years difference 💫 I think I was always suppose to end up here 🦋 When we came here two years ago, we spent 1 month volunteering and dreamed of living here. When we were deciding where to teach next, we kept coming back to Koh Phangna, but didn’t think we could realistically make it work. I got offered a job teaching in a primary school on the island, but Dan didn’t, and we hadn’t started working online yet, so it felt like a risk! We went with the safe option, teaching in Vietnam. We knew the country well and loved it here. We knew we’d get work and a monthly salary, it all felt right until it wasn’t… Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad teaching experience and this is when I started teaching online and we somehow made it work! Then we had the realisation, we can now teach from anywhere! So, that’s when we made contact with the family we worked for previously and they were very happy to have us back. 6 months later and we don’t want to leave. We are in a great routine with teaching full time online, we’ve adopted a little cat who spends everyday with us, we’ve made some lovely friends on the island, & I’m volunteering at an animals shelter in my free time!
