10 second observation timelapse. Focus = texture, hatching This card is adapted from 'Framed Drawing Techniques' by Marcos Mateu-Mestre. Pretty straight forward tonight just playing with how to draw bricks after some failure at that yesterday. I couldn't find that many artists who do it really. most just hint at it, and that's one approach. Paul Heaston draws bricks as a complete area, using fineliner pens quite neatly and it often looks really good. On closer brickwork though he makes the pointing thicker. The way he hatches them is also really cool, so I try to use that as inspiration instead if copying it directly just to see how I might try and solve this problem.
