Meet my newest studio apprentice: Lemon Holly 🍋🎄 My niece named her Lemon, and I added Holly because we brought her home around Thanksgiving – short for holiday, of course 😝 In my family, pets never just get a “cute” name. They get a whole story: • Alfie – my first dog, named after the 80s show because she had long, brown fur like a little creature from TV. • Balbuni – Tagalog for “hairy,” our fluffy border collie. • Sakangkang – Tagalog for “bow-legged,” our bulldog with the funniest little stance. • Ba-choi – an Olde English bulldog; a playful twist on a Filipino dish that gets its flavor from beef fat (extra rich, just like our love for him 😏). • Cheese – our first Olde English bulldog rescued, named because he LOVES cheese. Simple. Iconic. • Pablo – another rescued Olde English bulldog we brought home from San Diego, and yes… he’s Cheese’s nephew. Now Lemon Holly is here, continuing the tradition… and also the reason I haven’t gotten a lot of art done lately 😂 Learning how to make luxury leather craft is still very much happening—just slightly delayed due to excessive cuddles, zoomies, and snack breaks.
