Having 8 weeks off over summer is nice! No it isn’t a paid vacation because we teachers don’t get paid over summer at all. We have to budget our yearly paychecks to make it through the summer with no pay. But sometimes it brings us joy to go in after a long year and refresh our classrooms. Organize, clean out and get rid of things we don’t use and while I would love to be paid for it we don’t have enough time in the year while we are paid to do it!
