The Food Pyramid got flipped... and I’m (mostly) here for it. 📉🥩 Visually, this new guideline is a win. If you remember the old pyramid, grains were the massive foundation. Seeing lean proteins, healthy fats, and a huge volume of vegetables take priority here—with grains moving to the "tip"—is a movement in the right direction! These foods are much. Better for body composition & satiety. BUT, we need to talk about the title. 🛑 "Eat Real Food" implies that anything else is "fake" or "impure." Let’s be clear: this binary can be dangerous. Pizza and donuts are still real food. They aren’t plastic. Hyper-focusing on "eating clean" 100% of the time often creates a restrictive, fearful relationship with food. Health is nuanced. You can respect your body with nutrient-dense foods and still feed your soul with the fun stuff. My rule is simple: 🥗 80% Whole Foods (Nutrient Dense) 🍕 20% Fun Foods (Soul Dense) What do you think of this new layout? Does the "Real Food" label bug you too? #nutritiontips #foodpyramid #8020rule #personaltrainer #foodfreedom
