The Flanges/Couplings operator in the Random Flow add-on in Blender has been made specifically to work in combination with the Random Cables and Random Tubes operators. You can choose between the flanges or couplings design depending on whether your object is a pipe or a wire using the custom type settings. You can even make your own right in the scene. You can assign a single mesh or even an entire collection then randomize their placement along the curve.
