Gesture drawing was a technique I learned in my early adulthood when starting community college. Ironically, at the time…I despised it. My teacher *insisted* on spending half of the semester perfecting the ability. I’d first thought “what even IS gesture drawing?” Simply put, it’s the art of using one line to produce a drawing that resembles an actual thing/person without lifting the pen/pencil. 
Now, it’s nearly 9 years later and I ✨adore✨ it. One line from start to finish? I’m always up for the challenge. Not to mention, it is extremely therapeutic (imo). I highly recommend trying it out! #artistsoftiktok #doodle
