My baby turns 1 tomorrow, or actually, if we’re being precise, in under 4 hours. With the second, and knowing he is my last, I’m much more acutely aware of the passing time. And how bittersweet it all is. What an absolute joy it is to raise this sweet boy, and see all that he is becoming. But boy if it isn’t just a little bit sad, too. And that’s motherhood in a nutshell - a dichotomy. The most beautiful one in the world. And I’m so grateful to be immersed in it - the beautiful, messy, and chaotic moments of it all. So cheers to my last baby turning one. And to another year of motherhood.
